Ill a micro ATX motherboard work in a ATX mid tower case?

Most likely, a microATX will work in a ATX case. MicroATX was designed to be backwards compatible with ATX.

However, if it doesn't work, you can try drilling holes to the motherboard tray.Ill a micro ATX motherboard work in a ATX mid tower case?
It might, but probably not. What is the socket configuration of that motherboard... this will give you a better idea of its compatibility. Update and I will try and give you a better answer! -AlanIll a micro ATX motherboard work in a ATX mid tower case?
It should. Most cases have differently spaced holes to fit different standard size boards, including micro ATX.

  • Can you plug a normal atx power supply (from an old case) on a mini itx motherboard (SP13000)?

I have an old normal atx midi tower. Just bought a SP13000 mini-itx motherboard on eBay and am still planning a project so don't have a case and power supply yet for this motherboard. I want to test it is working properly though. Can I plug the atx power supply onto the board or will this fry my new board? Can you plug a normal atx power supply (from an old case) on a mini itx motherboard (SP13000)?
Test the voltage first before you try it.You need a volt meter. You should also know the voltage requirements for the new board. Can you plug a normal atx power supply (from an old case) on a mini itx motherboard (SP13000)?
If the ATX PSU header fits into the new MB, I would suspect yes.

Will i atx computer case fit a Micro ATX motherbord?

please helpWill i atx computer case fit a Micro ATX motherbord?
Of course! A microATX motherboard will fit in a ATX case! MicroATX is same thing as ATX, but smaller in size, thats all. MicroATX is designed to fit in both ATX and microATX cases. Will i atx computer case fit a Micro ATX motherbord?
    short answer yes it will
Most computer cases you buy these days will fit atx/micro atx/and btx etc.

In the case of micro atx, they use the same screw orientation as full atx boards, but with less screws due to the size of the board itself. Be sure to leave the spare screw standoff pins in there because they are easy to lose.
Usually, The case should allready have screw/stand off holes preset for several motherboards.
A Micro ATX motherboard will fit in a ATX case. MicroATX is same thing as ATX but smaller. MicroATX is designed to fit in both ATX and Micro ATX cases. The screw holes and pad will line up without a problem. Have a fun time building your PC.

    Good Luck!

Can an atx power supply fit inside a micro atx tower case?

I'm fairly sure the Micro-ATX form factor applies mainly to motherboard size and case height. The power supply dimensions should be the same. Can an atx power supply fit inside a micro atx tower case?
In many cases, yes. I would check the model/part number of the orginal power supply and look it up to be sure.

Is it possible to install an atx psu on a mini-tower case?i dun wan to buy new case coz im in a limited budget

As long as it's not a proprietary case, you'll be fine. Many Dells, Gateways and other name brands have some models that have a proprietary screw pattern in their power supplies, just to force you to buy your replacement PSU from them. I've fabricated custom adapter plates to get around that several times. Is it possible to install an atx psu on a mini-tower case?i dun wan to buy new case coz im in a limited budget
Yes, it will most likely fit in there as normal. The case just supports a smaller board form factor and less drive bays but the power supply should work fine.Is it possible to install an atx psu on a mini-tower case?i dun wan to buy new case coz im in a limited budget
ye i think it is possible
it is posible it depends on ur motherboard supported....

If I were to get an ATX computer case do I need to have a ATX mother board???

YesIf I were to get an ATX computer case do I need to have a ATX mother board???
    ';A full size ATX board is 12'; wide by 9.6'; deep (305 mm x 244 mm). This allows many ATX form factor chassis to accept microATX boards as well.';

Basically you can ATX or MicroATX in the vast majority of ATX compatible cases. In fact in today's computing world, its quite difficult to find any other form factored mother boardIf I were to get an ATX computer case do I need to have a ATX mother board???
actually to all you people who said yes thumbs down to you almost every single ATX full sized case support BOTH micro atx and regular atx but if i were you id go with atx espically if its for gaming
Yes you do because the motherboard is designed to be in one of these cases and if you get an AT Case and stick an ATX motherboard in it you would find it does not fit its like giving an car insides a body of a double decker bus!

Yes, you can fit micro atx in 99% of standard ATX cases, and if its one where you cant, read the reviews on the case before you buy it, and it will definitely be in there!. no worries.
