Would a gtx260 fit in a Atx Mid Case?

Will a gtx260 fit in a mid level tower (atx) case?

Would a gtx260 fit in a Atx Mid Case?
I believe it should, but every case is a little but different. I highly doubt it would fit into a MicroATX case, but any ATX should be fine.

If you're still questioning, look up the dimensions for both the case and the card.

The reason why I can't say for positive is that different manufacturers of the GPUs and cases all make them slightly different sizes, but all have a common measurement that it is near.

  • Is the motherboard in my computer a micro atx motherboard and if so can it fit in a bigger case?

I want to know if my motherboard can fit in a bigger case(a mid-tower) that supports micro atx and atx motherboards.

Its a SR1303 WM Compaq Presario computer

The motherboard is a ASUS A7V8X-LA

The chipset is VIA KM400AIs the motherboard in my computer a micro atx motherboard and if so can it fit in a bigger case?
Yes, it is a micro atx, and if the case supports micro atx motherboards, then you are good to go.Is the motherboard in my computer a micro atx motherboard and if so can it fit in a bigger case?
A7V8X-LA is indeed a micro ATX motherboard most of the time a regular mATX will fit in regular ATX cases as the chassis mount points for mATX should be present. But there are some older type matx boards that have trouble lining up with the backplate at the back of the case where all your cables plug in etc.

Allthough i doubt you'll run into this problem.

I can't tell you if it's a micro ATX, but if it is, it will fit just fine in a full ATX case.

It should fit. Of greater concern would be the power supply and ventilation. The nvidia gtx260 draws a lot of juice, and generates quite a bit of heat. Your power supply should have 500 watts, and that's the bare minimum, more is better, and it should be able to deliver 26 amps. The case should be well ventilated with a fan in the back and maybe even one on the side cover.

The gtx260 is 10.5 inches long, by 4.4 inches high. Cut a piece of cardboard that size, open up your case and try it out!Would a gtx260 fit in a Atx Mid Case?
It might, but it would make the whole area very very cramped. I would reccomend a bigger case, if your into building and want more space to your hands in there.
If you mean a dell optiplex gx-260, the the answer is no! it is a propritary clamshell case

I just bought a dell XPS 710 case...should I stick to the BTX setup or mod my case for ATX setup?

I know the difference between ATX and BTX. I also know my case is set up strictly for BTX motherboards. I want to build my dream PC. Do I stick with the design of the case...or do I mod it to fit ATX? Could I pull some good performance out of a BTX? and if so...what do you suggest?I just bought a dell XPS 710 case...should I stick to the BTX setup or mod my case for ATX setup?
You can get good performance from a BTX board but ATX is far more popular and would give you many more options. Doing a case mod is out of the question as the slot placement change would leave you a cobbled hunk. If you want to go ATX, I would suggest purchasing a new case. Even a cheap new ATX would be better than a cobbled hunk.

Will a micro ATX motherboard work in a ATX mid tower case?

Most likely, a microATX will work in a ATX case. MicroATX was designed to be backwards compatible with ATX.

However, if it doesn't work, you can try drilling holes to the motherboard tray.

Is the Acer M5630 an ATX case? Or an AT one?

I want to add a 600w PSU in order to install a GeForce 8800. Thanks. Is the Acer M5630 an ATX case? Or an AT one?
All modern cases are generally ATX. Easy way to tell, the power supplies on AT generally have an input and an output for the monitor. Also internally the power connection of an AT system will be composed of two white connectors connected side by side. On modern systems it is generally one long 20 or 24 pin connector that is connected to the motherboard. Is the Acer M5630 an ATX case? Or an AT one?
ATX. AT cases haven't been around since like the 80s.

Does m-ATX motherboard fit in an ATX case?

I want to upgrade slowly and buy a new case, but am wondering if my m-ATX parts fit in a regular ATX caseDoes m-ATX motherboard fit in an ATX case?
yes. cases specs list the form factor it can support. If yours supports ATX then you should have no problemDoes m-ATX motherboard fit in an ATX case?
