The term ';mid sized case'; leaves alot to be desired. I have mid size towers here that are 22 inches tall. I've seen them as small as 10 inches. It depends on who mfgs them. Make sure you have at least 10 inches from the slot opening in the back to the front of your pc inside.Can geforce 9800gt graphiccard fit into ATX midsize case?
for such a professional problem i think you should call the related tech customer service.
Looks like it will be a very tight fit. I would recommend to get a new case and take the guts from the other one.
