You should be able to since a microATX board is smaller than an ATX case. Just make sure your case has the proper fastening screw locations for an mATX board.
Having said that, if it's not too late I would recommend getting a full-size ATX board if you are stuck with that big case since you get more value for your money.Can I install a microATX motherboard in an ATX Computer Case?
very much possible, im using a microATX mobo in an ATX casing, works without any hassles. Plus it allows more cooling space ;) all the much better
