The answer to the question: Yes you can.
Please note that most current dual core AMD processors will severely bottleneck the HD4870X2. I strongly recommend using intel quad cores [of course, overclocked because stock clock will still bottleneck the card] if you want the HD4870X2.Could i put a 4870x2 on this micro atx motherboard in my huge antec 1200 case? is it possible?
You *could* but why would you put a $600 video card on a $50 motherboard?! That motherboard is absolute trash. Spend at LEAST $100 on a quality motherboard with a descent chipset.
