Will a Dell Dimension 4600 case support a full size ATX mother board?

Count the pci slots on the case. Then count the expansion on the motherboard and see if there are enough. The other thing you want to look at is the number of wires on the main power connector to the motherboard. Newer boards have 24 and older ones had 20. You may need to change te power supplyWill a Dell Dimension 4600 case support a full size ATX mother board?
All Dell's, HP's, etc are proprietary. I wouldn't count on them conforming to ATX standards. All of their motherboards are proprietary and are probably engineered so that you cannot use them for an upgrade to standrad equipment (this way, they keep you coming back to Dell, see).

My advice is to not be so cheap and go out and buy a modest mid-tower. $50 - $65 is NOT a whole lot of money when building a computer. You will want to invest in a good power supply...like an Antec and not rely on the cheapo Taiwan or Chinese c.r.a.p they put in the boxes you buy.
